1275. The National - Alligator

I have friends who 'own' certain albums or bands, and the national belong to joe. He got me this deluxe edition of the cd with bonus cuts, and I saw them with him ages ago. Here's what I really like about these guys: they do straight up american rock the way it should be done in the 2000's: sophisticated, mysterious, ambitious and revealing. So many bands take a Springsteen shit on a plate and expect you to buy it. The National grab that sound and build so much on top of it placing them at the forefront of the class.
