615 .PJ Harvey - rid of me

This was my first real introduction to PJ... before I even heard the record she had a certain something that grabbed my attention... she seemed tiny, not attractive, yet the little I had heard, came out loud and heavy. Steve Albini produced the album and you can hear the thick fuzz, but still her vocals are never lost and her matter of fact lyrics clearly heard. It's abrasive, and sounds like it was done in one take, and that's what makes it sound so good.
