510. Archer Prewitt - three

originally uploaded by jrd550.
I remember that when I got this album I didn't like it as much as 'In the sun', but after this weekend of listening to it at least ten times, it has really grown on me. Back when I first got it I remember being against the strings, backing vocals, tighter production and how the songs were um, 'songy'. This time around those are the things I like the most about the record. The song below pretty much sums up the sound of the album.

Thanks for the downloads! It's stuff I've never heard and am enjoying. :)

I'm glad you're liking it... scroll down to the Sublime review - my friend Chad (aka Meadows), the only other reader of the blog, commented on it too.

I know that you have Three and In The Sun at a neat tie but personally, I prefer In The Sun.

Good Man, now that is a song!!! If I am in a shitty mood (i.e. at work) I can put that song on and instantly feel better. The effect usually wears off after 20 minutes (i.e. someone comes into my office asking about some bullshit). But I know I can always turn to that song to feel good.

Oh and where is White Sky. I'll just rate that for you: 8.5. Not Archer's best but very good all the same. And while we're talking about Archer Prewitt, I like to mention his wonderful comic Sof' Boy. If you've never seen it, check it out.

I don't have 'White Sky', it's the only missing...'Wilderness' is up next.

I hear you on the 'In the Sun'/'Three' thing - I was the same way, 'In the Sun' was my fave but after a weekend of nonstop 'Three' has taken the number one spot.

Still great Saturday morning music.

Sof Boy: thumbs up.

The beard is looking good Ferrin. But you shouldn't have been so short with Jack.
