Label mates Nirvana had already exploded w/ Nevermind (I'm sure you know by now that they signed w/ DGC because of SY), so I guess somebody thought it was SY's turn. Butch Vig produced this set, a video was shot for '100%' and I'm sure they gained some new listeners but nothing like Nirvana. This is probably the bands most accessible album to non fans - the noise, spoken words, odd song structures are still there, but just polished, and a bit more focused. A good start for the uninitiated..
